The Rob Allen Gun Bungee is constructed from durable 10 mm rubber with an internal Dyneema braid and a snap-clip swivel on the end. It mounts under the muzzle of your speargun and connects to your mono or shooting line.
When the gun is fired and the shaft reaches the end of its line, the bungee absorbs the sudden stopping force, preventing the harsh jolt and reducing whiplash on both the gun and the line. It also helps when landing fish—if a fish runs hard, the bungee provides controlled stretch, reducing the chance of the spear tearing free.
A gun bungee can be fitted to virtually any speargun, new or old. Simply loop the Dyneema end through the small hole under the muzzle, then adjust your mono line length so it sits snug between the spear and the bungee.
