Description
The Mares XR Aluminium 3mm Backplate is a lightweight and durable foundation for building a modular backplate-and-wing system for recreational, technical and travel diving.
Constructed from 3mm 6061 marine-grade anodised aluminium, the backplate combines strength and corrosion resistance with a low weight of approximately 750g, making it a strong option for divers who want to keep their overall system light.
The plate features 13 laser-cut webbing slots and 15 mounting holes, giving divers plenty of flexibility for harness setup, accessory attachment and cylinder positioning. Upper and lower slots allow a single cylinder to be strapped directly to the backplate without requiring a separate single-tank adaptor.
Bent lower edges improve comfort, while multiple height adjustment points allow the wing and cylinder position to be fine-tuned. Its modular design is compatible with Mares XR harnesses, wings and selected accessories.
