O'Hunter Ambush Fin Product Description

The O'Hunter Ambush Fins are designed for spearfishing and freediving. Being tapered allows power and thrust to maximize your depths and speed. Due to being on a breath hold, spearfishing and freedivers need all the power they can get to allow them to go deeper and quicker without using up too much air and effort. Imagine if you were using a short blade fin, you would be kicking twice as often and using up twice as much air and effort. The Ocean Hunter Ambush fins allow you to use minimal effort, therefore giving you a better chance to catch that fish or to get to that depth you've been aiming for.

They have replaceable blades so you are able to swap them out or upgrade for carbon or fibreglass blades and to remove them it's as simple as removing the fixing kit with a screw driver and taking off the side rail clips. They also have a unique fish scale like design that allows you to blend in to the enviroment more so than a black fin. The Rubber foot pocket is a wide fitting deep pocket with reinforcement over the arch of the foot.

The foot pockets are made from a soft rubber allowing you to be comfortable in the water even after hours of use. Many divers will choose to wear a neoprene sock inside of the fin. There are a few reasons for this, first is to prevent any rubbing or blisters that could possibly occur. Second is for warmth, after being in the water for a couple of hours, you will start to get cold, it's inevitable, the neoprene socks will prevent this so you can enjoy your diving for longer. Last but not least is for protection, when walking from your car to the water entry point, many divers go off the rocks and to walk over these bare foot, it can be dangerous. A neoprene sock with grip will prevent you from slipping or getting cut.
