Cressi SP2 Console
The Cressi SP2 Console is a versatile and robust diving instrument that combines a Mini SPG (Submersible Pressure Gauge) and a compass, providing divers with essential information in a compact design. This console is built to last, with a durable chrome-plated brass housing for the pressure gauge and a scratch-resistant polycarbonate case for the compass.
The console's textured boot is designed for easy handling, even while wearing gloves, and can be conveniently rigged with a clip or bungee, allowing divers to secure it to their buoyancy compensator (BC) for a streamlined profile in the water. This ensures that the console remains easily accessible during the dive.
The Mini SPG features a color-coded scale for quick and intuitive readings. The gauge's face is divided into three colored zones: red, green, and blue. The area below 600 PSI (50 BAR) is highlighted in red with a slide bar and red stripes. For deeper dives, the red scale extends and fades to 1,300 PSI (100 BAR), providing additional reserve air indication required at greater depths. The green zone represents pressures from 600 PSI (50 BAR) to approximately 3,000 PSI (200 BAR), while the blue zone covers pressures from 3,000 PSI (200 BAR) to the end of the scale.
The front glass lens of the gauge acts as a pressure relief valve, allowing excess pressure to escape in the event of a sudden increase inside the instrument. This safety feature ensures the gauge's integrity and reliability underwater.
The compass bezel of the console is designed with compass headings in 30° increments and indicator marks for every 10°. It features twin heading indicators for aligning the compass course and a lubber line across the compass face for easy navigation. The compass case is made from scratch-resistant polycarbonate, ensuring strength and durability.
The console is housed in a small, modern-shaped boot made from a combination of polycarbonate and Desmopan, a lightweight thermoplastic polyurethane. This material combination provides protection against shocks and scratches while keeping the console lightweight and travel-friendly. The pressure gauge comes with a 7/16" threaded high-pressure hose for easy connection. The gauge boot includes an attachment point for a clip or lanyard, allowing divers to secure it as needed.
