Rubber weight belt vs. Nylon braided weight belt

Rubber weight belts tend to be for Freediving or Spearfishing. The reason for this is that the rubber sticks to your body or your wetsuit and eliminates movement. Another plus to a rubber belt is that the weights will stay in place meaning no more sliding weights.

A Nylon braided belt is a very common Scuba Diving belt. Reason for this is that they are extremely strong and durable, being able to carry all the necessary weight a Scuba Diver needs. When Scuba Diving we use double the amount to the average Freediver. They also have a quick release buckle in case of an emergency accent.
