Oceanic Geo 4.0 Dive Computer Product Description

The Oceanic GEO 4.0 Dive Computer is the newest computer in the Oceanic range and is the upgrade for the crowd favourite Geo 2.0. It is a quality, functional and stylish watch style computer that can be used in 4 different modes of operation including Air, Gauge, Freediving and watch. No matter if you are scuba diving or freediving, this watch can really do it all and all you need to do is change the mode when you change what sport you are doing. The stainless steel accent ring and new color combination allows it to be so good looking that it can be worn everyday as a watch as well as a computer when diving. The 4 button navigation means that you can easily guide your way through the amazing features without confusion. The Geo 4.0 has gas switching with EAN Nitrox from 21% to 100% and has a dual algorithm along with all of the features that you need when heading underwater. Temperature, depths, safety stops, accent alarms, bottom time and more are included in the Geo. This computer has everything that you will ever need to scuba dive apart from the air gauge.

The Oceanic Geo 4.0 has diver replaceable batteries which will definitely save you some money as you do not have to send it off for a service when the battery goes, however it is recommended that you get it changed by a service technition as they will then change the o-ring and pressure test it at the same time. The battery life generally lasts 200-300 dives as a rough guide. It will log 24 dives in its memory which you can scroll through at any time to see, however you can in fact transfer these on to your smart phone using the bluetooth function. Once the 24 dive log memory is full, it will start re-riding over the first dive logged. This particular dive computer can be worn as an every day watch as it is slimline and looks smart. It has all the features that you could need in a watch including time, date and stopwatch as well as a back light.

To use the bluetooth function and transfer your dives you will need to download the Diverlog + app which you can find in the app store on your smart phone. There is a video below to help guide you through this process. In this app you will be able to adjust the dual nitrox mixes, switch algorithms, set alamrs and change gas mixes.

Majority of dive sights will now only allow you to dive them if you are using a computer rather than a guage. This is due to the fact that the tables are extremely conservative, so if you were diving on a guage using your tables, you would generally have to surface a fair amount of time earlier than other divers who are using computers. Because of this, company's like everyone to be on the same level and surface all together.
