Freedivers Ranger Roller Speargun Product Description

The Freedivers Ranger Roller Speargun is works a little differently to the conventional rail guns by giving you more power, range and speed but using shorter guns. Sounds crazy but its true! With a standard rail gun, the rubbers generally take up approx 30% of the barrel which you pull back to either notch at the base of the shaft. With the Roller guns, the rubber takes up the entire length of the barrel and a little more via the sides of the barrel. This means that the tension of the rubber starts where the trigger is on the side of the barrel and stretches all the way up over the muzzle (roller head) and then is pulled as per normal down the tip of the barrel to either notch. This means that you get extra power from the extra-long tensioned band but on a shorter gun. 90cm and 100cm are by far the most popular for this type of gun as it is easy to manoeuvre and control, but you are getting the power and distance for a 1.1m + speargun. No more need for double rubbers or thicker 20mm rubbers as the Roller guns are all you need. With more power creates more speed and more momentum and therefore gives better penetration through those large pelagic fish. The Ranger Roller gun comes with a 7mm double notch, single flopper shaft and 16mm rubbers. It has a stainless-steel trigger mech that gives durability and reliability, especially on such a strong and powerful gun.  The metal mech is extremely quiet and accurate which is a must.

Extras:    When purchasing a speargun, there are a few extras that we recommend you purchase to complete your kit. A float rope and divers float are the two main extras. The rope is connected to the gun at handle and the other end of the rope is to be connected to the float, this will ensure you will not loose your gun by accidental dropping it, or having a fish steal it! (It does happen). A pair of gloves is another item that we recommend you purchase also. Once you have shot your fish, trying to grab it and finish the kill can be very difficult without gloves. Fish are not only slippery but also have made spikes and teeth. Gloves will prevent cuts and scratches as well as grip.
