The Cressi Tank Valve Protector is a rubber case that sits on top of the tank valve to prevent dust and dirt getting in to it when not being used. It also keeps the o-ring safe and secure ready for the next dive. If a tank valve protector is not used, dust can potentially enter the valve, so the next time that you use the tank, you will get a nasty taste from the dust. It comes with a looped lanyard that you can attach to your tank's neck to prevent it from getting lost.
